Comments by fennec owners
Overall are you pleased with the dealings you have had with me as a breeder? Why or why not?
YES FONDA, WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH AND WE REALLY HAD A GREAT TIME
MEETING HER AND HER FAMILY, SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND A WONDERFUL
BREEDER, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What advice would you offer
someone thinking about getting a fennec fox?
Responsibility of giving MORE attention than most child could ever
require. That you have to be forgiving, loving, and understanding
that they are still an exotic animal and their fox instincts are still there.
Curiosity, digging, chewing, and being sneaky. You can’t get frustrated
with them patience is a virtue.

My dealings with you were nothing but pleasant
Anybody considering a fennec should know the facts and do their
research. I have always been around wild animals, so I know there are
no two the same. One may nip, one may scream, one may hide in the
corner. They all have their different personality. Never expect them
to be like a domestic dog or cat, they are not.
They are very high energy, very playful and very entertaining. We love our little guy in spite of him being himself sometimes.

Are you glad that you purchased a
fox? Yes we love him dearly
What do you wish you knew before
purchasing your fox? I did a lot of research about this
species of fox before I contacted you about buying him. So I would suggest to
others that they do the same so that they know and understand that they are
getting a very special and unique exotic
animal.
Do you consider your fox
friendly?Yes, our fox has been on many "field trips" he has gone to The
Indiana Business College for one of my daughters class where she had to give a
speech, to 2 day cares for show and tell (both being my nephews since they
didn't have pets and they love playing with Radar when they come over) and to
one of my daughters high school when she had to give a speech on "how to care
for your pet" Don't get me wrong just like people he has his days but we know
his personality and so we can tell when he "wants to do his own
thing"
How do you house your fox? When we
are not home he has a 10 x 10 x 8 foot tall cage. In the cage we have a
cave(it is really a plastic bin turned upside down), a 3 foot log, a 5ft round
PVC pipe (his tunnel), several cat toys, his litter box and his food and water
bowls. Otherwise he is out and about to run free
wherever.
How does your fox get along with
your other pets?He gets along with our cats and tortoises, we have a
small dog that gets along with him but our larger dogs do not take
to him to well
Does your fox use a litter box? For
the most part, he seems to do better when he is "free" than when he is in his
cage.
What advice would you offer someone
thinking about getting a fennec fox? Research before you buy not just the
species of animal but the breeder. I know someone who purchased a fox from
someone other than you and their fox is not as friendly and loving as ours.
Work with and spend time with your fox they are very smart creatures and can
learn things pretty quick. Remember their natural behaviors and enjoy the
things that they do. This is like having a "cat" and "dog" all in one!!! They
are really wonderful!!!
Overall are you pleased with the
dealings you have had with me as a breeder? Why or why not? You bet!!!! When
someone asks me where they can get "a fox like Radar" I give them your name
and information.
What do you feel is the most
positive aspect of fennec ownership? Most negative? Most positive is -- if you
are looking for a small animal to enjoy put don't want a cat or a small dog --
this is the animal for you!! They do not cost a lot to feed, can be litter
trained and are very fun to watch, love and enjoy! Most negative is -- our
little Radar does not like to have his stomach rubbed. Per the vet this is due
to a natural instinct. Predators in the wild tend to attack there.
Additional comments- I want to
thank you for all the time that you take with the fox before selling them to
clients. What you do with them when they are small pups makes them wonderful
pets for their new owners. I am hoping that we soon can get another for our
little Radar to play with. We're saving our
money!!
