Pup born 3/16/09.
Fennec Foxes are the smallest wild canine species in the world.  Their average weight is between 2 1/2 and 3 lbs.  They are native to northern Africa where they reside in the harsh Sahara Desert.  Fennecs have been raised in captivity in the U.S. since the 1960's and have grown in popularity as  house-pets.  I have had fennecs since 2001, and have begun to sell my offspring to good homes.  Fennecs are charming, amazing and endearing animals that have a way of stealing your heart.  Although a higher maintenance pet than a cat or dog, for the right owner they can't be matched.  I do not go a day without laughing at their antics, and feeling very lucky to share my life with these awesome little critters!  In order for fennecs to be tame, they need to be hand-reared.  This entails removing them from the parents at an early age, and feeding them every few hours with a bottle or syringe.  I begin to put harnesses on my pups at 5 weeks of age so that it becomes second nature to them by adulthood.  I feed canned cat food, dry dog food and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

My pups are $1200.  This includes 2 distemper vaccinations, all needed wormings and a harness.  I let the pups go to their new homes at 9 weeks of age.

I maintain a waiting list for pups.  I require a $50 deposit to hold a spot on my list.  When I have a pup on the bottle for you, I ask for $350 to hold the pup until it is ready.
